Vinergy’s Latest Prototype, the HQ, is Coming Along Nicely
During our countless visits to grape farms the past few years of engineering, developing, and perfecting the Gopher and now the Gopher iQ, we observed another problem in the industry.
While the Gopher and Gopher iQ was created for and has been proven to solve productivity issues in picking, this quickly surfaced a problem in packing productivity. As the Gopher iQ increased productivity in picking, it left packers using traditional methods in the dust.
This problem introduces our latest prototype, the HQ. The HQ by Vinergy is designed and engineered to serve as a packing station superior to that of traditional packing tables as well as a charging station for the complementary Gopher iQ’s.
The method is simple:
The Gopher iQ drives itself through multiple grape rows, bringing up to 16 totes full of grapes to the HQ.
The totes are placed onto racks that pass through 16 packing stations where packers can efficiently pack the grapes into bags.
Boxes of grape bags are placed onto racks that transport packed grapes into delivery trucks.
As you might imagine, we were excited to show off our prototype at the World Ag Expo last week (February 2022). We were more excited to find out our booth visitors were intrigued and very interested in the new machine. The HQ is coming along nicely and we are excited to begin testing our new Harvest Model to local farms very soon.
